Responsibilities
- Manages the operations, staff and procurement services provided by Regional Procurement.
- Continually improves the Regional Procurement solutions developed for client councils throughout NSW.
- Manages all tender processes delivered by Regional Procurement to client councils.
- Provides Probity Advice and Auditing Services.
- Facilitates effective, compliant and quality tender processes on behalf of councils including those in the North Coast, Mid-North Coast, New England and Namoi Regions of NSW.
Qualifications
Peter has managed the operations and team of Regional Procurement with enthusiasm and commitment to Local Government since he formed the division in 2004.
Prior to taking on this role, he was the Purchasing Team Leader at Newcastle City Council for 2 years and Purchasing and Stores Coordinator at Cessnock City Council for 6 years. He had also worked in supply, logistics and contract management with the NSW Department of Health for 15 years.
He has a Diploma of Management and a Certificate IV in Business.
